Engagement & Retainer
An engagement with Lalang Counsel commences upon our written confirmation of the scope of services, applicable fees, and your acceptance of those terms. Website enquiries and initial consultations do not of themselves constitute a legal engagement.
- Each engagement is governed by a separate engagement letter which supplements these Terms and Conditions.
- The scope of services is defined in the engagement letter. Requests that fall outside the agreed scope may require a revised engagement and additional fees.
- Lalang Counsel reserves the right to decline to act or to cease acting for a client where this is required by applicable professional rules or where a conflict of interest arises.
- Our obligations as your legal practitioner are owed to you as client, and not to any third party, unless expressly agreed in writing.

To allow us to serve you well, clients are expected to observe the following responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely information as requested in connection with your estate planning matter.
